We provide Forest School training up to Level 3 with our team of experienced Forest School Practitioners and Trainers. With a wealth of knowledge and outdoor experience behind us we provide in depth training and support that provides a comprehensive training experience.

Your Forest School Level 3 will cover:

  • Tools, PPE, Fire and Safety
  • Woodland Management
  • Teaching and Learning Styles
  • Setting up your FS Procedures and Policies
  • Setting up your first FS Sessions

You will start the training with 1 week in the woodlands at Wellness Woodlands getting immersed in the Forest School ethos with practical and engaging sessions. You can choose to come on a daily basis or if you live further away, camping is available on the site.

Your training and development won’t stop at the woods however, as you leave you will feel refreshed, revitalised, motivated and ready to get stuck into Forest School learning for yourself. We will help guide you with regular check ins, prompts and a support peer to peer group chat to guide you through the process of finishing your Portfolio.

Our experienced staff are on hand to help with outdoor skills learning, tool use, woodland management and plant identification. Our experience includes 10 years of bushcraft and forest schools, 10 years of foraging, a qualified and experienced arborist, conservation and biodiversity in an urban environment and more. We don’t believe in ‘dumping’ learners in at the deep end alone – many learners experience a feeling of shock between the high energy and motivation of the training practical week and the rigmarole of completing a written portfolio on your own in the months ahead, which causes a work paralysis of sorts. We want to make this as smooth and accessible as possible. We are available through the weeks ahead for support to answer questions and provide additional online discussion sessions as well as helpful prompts via email to ensure you are progressing through your portfolio on time. If you have an issue, let us know so we can help you!

Being a Forest School Practitioner is not just a job or a tick box exercise. It is a whole new way of learning and looking at the learning experience. You will find that you yourself will grow throughout the experience and a whole new exciting world will open up to you – and we will be with you every step of the way. This is a life changing programme for many and you will make new contacts and friends for life through this experience.

You will have a total of 9 months to complete your Portfolio after your initial practical week.
At 6 months in, your practical assessment week will take place.
